With offices in London, Munich and most recently New York, and a 77 strong investment team, Hg focuses on buyouts in their 8 sub-sector “clusters” of focus, including Tax & Accounting and Healthcare IT. Through a diversified range of strategies designed to capture the entirety of the Software market, the firm invests in companies valued between €100m and €5bn.

Hg works with management teams to develop long-term value by accelerating revenue and earnings growth. The firm develops a clear and personalised value creation strategy for each company through a combination of seven broad levers, including M&A, talent & organisation and data & analytics. In addition, a dedicated portfolio team of around 30 industry professionals assist management teams with a range of software specific initiatives designed to drive their business forward.
